Yup. It has begun. After Vettel's successful win of the 2011 F1 title, Kazunori Yamauchi is now giving out free X2010s, as long as you log in to GT5 before October 16th, 2011 (Confirmed ).

Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2.0 + DLC Coming Late October

  After almost a year, it's finally been confirmed (By Kazunori through a rare English tweet) that a new update will be coming to GT5, with DLCs following a week after.
