 No, it's not a racist occasion... March 14th is marked as "White Day", otherwise known as "White Valentine's Day" in parts of Asia (Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and China).

Remember: Two Years On...The 3.11 Tōhoku Earthquake

  
 It may be hard to believe, but two years has passed since the world was stunned before television screens, newspaper headlines, or radio announcements, two years since the magnitude 9.0 earthquake shook Japan, which led to one giant tsunami and one immense nuclear radiation crisis. It may have been a while, but Japan has yet fully recovered from the most devastating natural disaster in its history, which claimed over 15,000 lives. Let's take a moment to re-visit some of the shocking moments of the havoc, and at the same time, pray that all victims can all fully recover from this horrifying experience.   Taiwanese Newspaper "China Times" has recently published an article on an interview with Makoto Shinkai (新海 誠), the director of many anime films such as "5 Centimeters per Second" and "Voices of a Distant Star", where he was said to be "the next Hayao Miyazaki" (宮崎 駿) . 

Vettel wins his second F1 title

After a fierce battle at Suzuka, Japan, Sebastian Vettel has won his second F1 title, being the youngest driver ever to do so (At age 24).

Sony, Daiwa Turn Home Electronics Into Moe Characters

 

 Sony Computer Science Laboratory (Sony CSL) and  Daiwa House Industry are developing a Kadecot system to control home electronics and appliances through a smartphone app, and they have anthropomorphized the project as moe characters under the name Moekaden (萌家電 ;lit.Moe Home Appliances).
